[琉球諸島図巻] / Map of the Ryukyu Islands
薩摩（鹿児島）から種子島、屋久島、七島（トカラ列島）、奄美、沖縄そして宮古、八重山に至る島々とその海域を図示した航路図に相当する。航海者にとって必要な地名、島名、岩礁名、海域（瀬）名、距離（里程）、方位などの情報が細かく表記されている。薩摩―琉球間を往来する際に不可欠な諸知識であり、類似の資料が少ない貴重な資料である。(高良倉吉)
This document is equivalent to a navigational map showing the islands from Satsuma (Kagoshima) to Tanegashima, Yakushima, Shichi-tō (Tokara Islands), Amami, Okinawa, Miyako, and Yaeyama, and their territorial seas. The names of places, islands, reefs, territorial seas, distances, directions, and other information necessary for navigators are described in detail. The information would have been indispensable when traveling between Satsuma and Ryukyu, and it is a valuable piece of material with very few like it existing. (—Kurayoshi Takara)
