[琉球国中碑文記]
写者及び年代不詳。琉球王国時代に編集された碑文の文面や冊封使の題字などを集めた記録。歴史編纂事業の補助史料として作成されたと見られ、首里・那覇を中心に分布する琉球の主要な碑文をほぼ網羅的に記している「碑文記（ひもんき）」（尚家本）、「碑文記全」（東恩納甲本・乙本の2種）などの異本があり、本書は「伊波本」の名で通称される伊波普猷文庫の蔵本である。散逸または摩滅した碑文の研究に欠かせない貴重な史料である。各異本との違いについては「石碑復元調査報告書 平成16年3月」（那覇市発行 2004）を参考のこと。

A record of the inscriptions and handwriting of Chinese envoys, compiled at the time of the Ryukyu kingdom. It is believed to be edited as a reference for the history book compilation project, and contains the principal inscriptions of Ryukyu, located mainly at Naha and Shuri. There are many different editions, including "Himonki" (Shōke-bon, or a text owned by Shō Family) and "Himonki Zen." This book, called "Iha-bon," was part of Iha Fuyū's collection. It is one of the most important sources for researching on lost or damaged inscriptions.
