琉球年代記 附雑話 全
江戸時代、日本において刊行された琉球に関する出版物の一つであり、本書は天保3年（1832）に大田南畝（おおたなんぽ）の遺稿として刊行された。琉球開闢以来の歴代国王について記した「琉球年代記」、江戸上り（えどのぼり：徳川将軍の代替わりや、琉球国王の即位に際して送られる江戸への使者）の年代をまとめた「来聘年暦」、琉球国王の印の図、琉球の寺社の説明、神仏の図像、娼妓の図および説明、酒や銭に関することなど、琉球の実情・風俗を記した「琉球雑話」の項目に大別できる。
One of the publications produced in Edo era Japan about the Ryukyu Kingdom, this text was published in 1832 after the death of Ōta Nanpo.The entries are generally classified into the “Raihei Nenreki” which contains the years that Ryukyuan envoys were sent to Edo; the “Miscellaneous Accounts of Ryukyu” which contains manners, customs, state of affairs in Ryukyu, as well as things relating to money and alcohol, descriptions and pictures of prostitutes, icons of Buddhist deities, descriptions of Ryukyuan shrines, and illustrated pictures of the King of Ryukyu’s seal; and the “Ryukyuan Annals” which contains information the successive generations of the Kings of Ryukyu since the beginning of Ryukyu.
