大島筆記 自巻之一・至巻之四 全

1762年鹿児島に向かっていた琉球船がしけにあって土佐（高知県）の南端の小島「大島」に漂着した時の記録。琉球側の潮平親雲上（しおひらぺーちん）と若い儒学者戸部良煕（とべよしひろ）との肝胆あい照らす交流から生れた記録で、当時の琉球の国内、中国の様子など細かく聞き取られていて、近世期の琉球理解にはたした役割は大きい。60首近い琉歌には解説も加えられている。琉球人和歌、擬古文物語「雨夜ものがたり」、琉球僧祖願（そがん）らとの贈答などを収めている。
Records of the occasion when Ryukyuan boats bound for Kagoshima drifted ashore at Ōjima, a small island off the southern tip of Tosa, Kōchi Prefecture in 1762.Records created from the exchange between a young Confucian scholar Tobe Yoshihiro, and the Ryukyuan Shiohira Pēchin. At those times within the Ryukyu Kingdom, they would take in in great detail to the descriptions of China, and in recent times it played a great part in understanding Ryukyu.There are also around 60 Ryuka with explanations recorded. Also included are, pseudoclassical Japanese style stories and exchanges.
