[聞得大君加那志様御新下日記 １]
「お新下り（おあらおり)」は最高神女である聞得大君が初めてその領地である知念間切に行き、斎場御嶽に参詣すること。即位式にあたる。首里の王城から斎場御嶽までの道程や行列の次第、途中に置かれた仮屋（かりや：宿もしくは休息所）の様子などが記されている。行列の途次に歌われる道グエーナ2首も収められている。本書は1840年の「お新下り」のときの記録。大里間切に保管されていた原本で公印（くさり印）がある。伊波が入手した経緯は不明。だが、「沖縄研究資料５ 聞得大君加那志様御新下日記」（法政大学沖縄文化研究所発行 1984年）で、同系統と思われる御新下日記の写本（赤木文庫所蔵）の翻刻が収録されている。琉球大学学報121号に池宮政治による本書の解説がある。
“Oaraori” is the first visit of the chief priestess of Ryukyu, the Kikoe-Ogimi, to the district of Chinen and to Sefa Utaki. The appointment of the Kikoe Ogimi.The distance from Shuri Castle to Sefa Utaki, the order of the processional lines and the places to stop along the way are recorded. Two Kwena are recorded that would be sung during the procession.The text is a record of the Oaraori from 1840.There is an official seal on the original copy being kept in Ozato Magiri. How it came to be in the hands of Iha Fuyu is unknown. Okinawa Kenkyu Shiryo 4 Kikoe Okgimi Kanashi Oaraori Nikki no Shahon” (Hosei Daigaku Okinawa Bunka Kenkyusho Hakko 1984) a reprint is available of a copy of an Oaraori thought to be of the same system. A commentary from Ikemiya Masaharu is available in the University of the Ryukyu’s Bulletin number 121.
