同治十四年乙亥三月吉旦 聞得大君御殿並御城御規式之御次第
琉球の最高神女職＝聞得大君による儀礼の概要を記した文書である。内容は次のとおり。第一は聞得大君の御殿（うどぅん：邸宅）において執行される正月元日、2月・5月の御祭りや麦初種子の儀式、琉球国中の各家庭での火災予防の立願儀礼（2月）等の執行について。第二は簡略ながら聞得大君の就任儀礼である「御新下り（おあらおり）」について。第三は「御城御規式の次第」＝首里城内での聞得大君の儀礼について。第四は神話上の五穀伝来と久高島との関わりについて。第五は、聞得大君が神へ祈願する際の言葉である「御たかへ」について。第六は首里城正殿前の御庭で執行された中国・日本・両先島へ渡航する使者・役人らの渡海安全儀礼について。聞得大君の儀礼を把握する上で重要な文書である。
A text containing a summary of the rites of the Kikoe ōgimi (Ryukyu’s Chief Priestess). The contents are as follows:First Chapter: about the rites that should be carried out at the residence of the Kikoe ōgimi on New Year’s Day; rites for the first seeds of barley in February and May; and prayers and rites for prevention of fires at each house throughout the Ryukyu Kingdom.Second Chapter: about the Oaraori, the rite for the appointment of Kikoe ōgimi.Third Chapter: “Ogusuku Okishiki no Jidai” - about rites that the Kikoe ōgimi performs within Shuri Castle.Fourth Chapter: about the bringing of the 5 seeds and the creation myth, and its connection with Kudaka Island.Fifth Chapter: about the words that the Kikoe ōgimi uses when praying to the gods, also known as “Otakabe”.Sixth Chapter: about the rites for praying for the safety of the envoys who would go to China, Japan, Ishigaki Island and Miyako Island, performed inside the inner garden of the main temple of Shuri Castle.An important material in understanding the rituals of the Kikoe ōgimi.
