The “Kinsetsu heisei kou” written on the front cover, is Hou Ji Gao’s misinterpretation of “Guan zhe bing zhi kao” (Zensetsu heisei kou), the material is a copy of the appendix “kinpou wakei”. Year of completion unclear. Starting with Tei Do, who was an official of Ryukyu, it records letters of emergency information and testimonies to be transmitted, consisting of reports given to the Ming of invasion plans, in other words Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s invasion, which were learnt from Chinese fishermen and tradesmen who were captured by Japanese pirates (wako) and sold off to Japan. The letters from Tei Do contain information such as the things Toyotomi was pursuing related to Ryukyu’s investiture missions from Ming China, the dispatching of troops from Korea, and the plans for expedition to the Ming for peace negotiations.
