宮古・八重山の歌(あやご及八重山歌節組)
宮古島の歌謡である「あやご(アヤグ・アーグ)｣や八重山の民謡を収録した資料。「あやご」は明治40年宮古島祥雲寺にて「安興」による筆写。尚真王の八重山征伐の際に従軍して功を立てた仲宗根豊見親(ナカソネトヨミオヤ・ナカソネトゥユミャ)の生涯を謡った内容となっている。「伊波普猷全集第１巻」所収の「古琉球」に「八重山征伐のアヤゴ」が掲載されている。後半の「八重山島歌寄節」は明治40年に八重山の登野城にて「笑古」によって筆写され、87首が収録されている。どちらも真境名安興による筆写と考えられる。
Contains Ayago, songs from Miyako Island, and folk songs from Yaeyama. Written by Ankō, 1907 at Shōunji, Miyako Island. About the life of the distinguished Nakasone Tomiya when he was with the army at the time of Shō Shin’s subjugation of Yaeyama. In the Complete Works of Iha Fuyu part one; “Koryukyu”, the “Ayago of the Subjugation of Yaeyama” is recorded. In the second half of “Collection of songs from Yaeyama Island” 87 songs have been recorded by Shōko (Majikina Ankō’s penname) at Tonoshiro, Yaeyama, in 1907. They’re both thought to have been copied by Majikina Ankō.
