解説
本史料は琉球方言の辞書。乾坤2巻。1711年に王府の事業として編纂された。王府の宮廷語を和文で解説している。構成は各巻部門別に分けられており、乾巻は乾坤・人倫・時候・支体・気形・草 木・器財・家屋・衣服・飲食・言語の11部門、坤巻は家屋を除き、神祇・数量を加えて12部門が確認できる。
Description
A dictionary of the Ryukyuan dialect. In two sections. Compiled in 1711 as a project of the Royal overnment. Commentary in Japanese on the language used in the courts of the Royal Government. It’s organised according to category; in the first section there are 11 sections including the universe human relations - seasons -anatomy -creatures - plants - tools - houses - clothes - food and drink - language, in the second section there are 12 sections including removing houses - gods of heaven and earth - quantities.
