八重山島蔵元公事帳 / Administrative guidelines of Yaeyama Kuramoto
Yaeyama-jima Kuramoto Kujichō
咸豊7年（1857年）11月成立。本文書は，同治12年（1873年）の書写本。記主は，松茂氏当宗。47丁。26.0×19.8cm。宮古・八重山に派遣された検使・翁長親方らが八重山視察後に作成した八重山蔵元行政の指針文書。首里王府の三大儀礼（冬至・正月元日・同15日）を蔵元で執行する規定から始まり，八重山在番や頭役の勤務規定，首里王府との諸連絡規定（日帳方，問合方，系図方，キリシタン宗門改め帳，など），蔵元内の各部署の大まかな勤務規定などを定めたもの。八重山における蔵元公事帳の初発は1740年代の野村親雲上から。その後，1768年の与世山親方による改訂，そして翁長親方（本公事帳）による改訂と続く。各公事帳から首里王府の八重山統治策や八重山社会のあり方を探ることができる文書である。（豊見山和行）※事務局注：本資料は、一部錯簡あり。(平成27年8月10日記載)
Policy guidelines to the Kuramoto Administration written by Onaga Uēkata after his inspection of Miyako and Yaeyama. The guidelines concerned issues such as the employment regulations for the Yaeyama zaiban and kashira-yaku, regulations for the timely contact with the Shuri Government, the general employment regulations for various positions within the Kuramoto etc. Administrative guidelines for Yaeyama were first established in 1740 by Nomura Pēchin. Since then, this was amended by Yoseyama Uēkata, and then Onaga Uēkata, which is the version on hand. This text provides a means for studying the Shuri Government's policies on Yaeyama as well as the Yaeyama society in general.(Updated on March 2, 2015) A few pages in this material are out of order due to an error in binding.(Noted by University of the Ryukyus Library Office on August 10, 2015)
