八重山島諸座御規模帳 / Administrative regulations of Yaeyama

This document was completed after Onaga Uēkata's survey of Yaeyama. Kimochō refers to the orders that determine the basic administrative guidelines. Although the title suggests that the contents are guidelines on the various za (departments) of the Kuramoto, it actually concerns the general regulations of various policies. There are 60 articles altogether, from taxation income and the payment of taxes to ship routes to and from various villages. For example, Article 51 "The Prices of Goods" determines the exchange rate between goods such as wood and seafood, and physical labor, and provides a good indication of the cost of living at the time.A few pages in this material are out of order due to an error in binding.(Noted by University of the Ryukyus Library Office on August 10, 2015)
