1件。20丁。20.0×13.3cm。楮紙。同治3（1864）年8月29日書写。同治3（1864）年に、松茂氏當貴によって筆写された算法書。田地を上田から中田に、中田から下田に置き換える計算方法や、田畑の耕作の必要経費、薪木の各種計算方法などが記されている。また、運賃の計算方法が記載されており、当時八重山と沖縄本島を往来していた大和船などの年貢運搬や商業的な役割を担った船の状況を見ることができる。宮良殿内文庫には本史料とは異なる算法書（№71「八重山算法」）があり、八重山では他にも数種類の算法書が確認されている。

Description

A book of mathematical formulae written by Matsumo, Touki in 1864. Includes the method of converting jouden to chuuden and chuuden to geden, as well as calculation methods for the necessary expenses associated with cultivation etc. Furthermore, it also had methods for calculating fare prices and sheds light on the situation of the commercial and official ships to/from Yamato. Although the contents are different, the Miyara-Dounchi library has another book on mathematics (source no. 71), and many other such books have been found in Yaeyama.
