1件。1丁。申年8月25日。八重山島の頭であった宮良親雲上が死亡したため、次の頭として古見首里大屋子が任命されたことを示す文書。形式的には、八重山島のほうから次期頭の任命を要請し、それを王府側が追認するという形になっている。ここでいう「言上」とは国王へ進言するという意味。

Description

A document showing that as a result of the death of Peechin Miyara, Komi Shuri Ooyako has been appointed as the next Kashira(head) of Yaeyama. Formally, Yaeyama was to recommend a candidate for the next Kashira and then request for the approval of the government. Gonjou here refers to words of advice to the King.
