稽古案文並万書付集 / Exercise book on how to write Administrative documents and a collection of letters

This is a collection of drafts handwritten by Matsumo, Toui in 1872. The first half is a copy of the exercise drafts from the Zaiban Hissha Peechin Yoshimoto. This included details on the prohibition on buying, selling and making Shochu, warnings and observations on the movements of villages, the Government's encouragement on the practicing of Chinese and formalised language etc. The latter half contained letters from Yaeyama officials to the Shuri Government and mainland Okinawa elites, application for the extension in tax payments due to the effects of strong winds, as well as reports on the damage on agricultural products, etc.
