久米島仲里間切科人公事帳
乾隆53(1788)年に平等方(警察・司法を司る)が協議したものを久米島の仲里間切へ通達した史料である。内容は、盗みや喧嘩などによって犯罪を犯したもの、流罪人などの処遇を規定している。また、時・よた(暦を見たり、吉凶を占う)に関しての取り締まり事項なども見え、当時の習俗・生活を考える上でも重要な史料であろう。乾隆51(1786)年に制定された「琉球科律」の施行の一環として布達されたものと考えられる。同時期に宮古・八重山にも同様な科人公事帳が通達されている。史料自体は、原本を仲原善秀が所持していたものを昭和29(1954)年6月に比嘉春潮が謄写したものであると奥付に記されている。
This document was discussed and issued in 1788 at the Hiraho/ Hirajo( law enforcement and judicial division office )and sent to Kume island Nakazato Magiri. It states how to deal with those who comitted crimes such as theft, assault or the transports/deportees. This is a very important historical material to learn endemic rituals and customs at the time including the articles that regulate Toki, Yota ( local shaman who reads calendar or tell the people's fourtunes). It is believed to be as part of of Ryukyu Karitsu (penal code) issued and notified in 1786. Higa Shuncho made a copy of it in 1954 from the original book that Nakahara had owned. During the same period, the similar type of Kajin Kujicho (the book of public duties) was issued in Miyako and Yaeyama areas.
