琉球人姓名書 寛政二年度
徳川将軍の襲職を祝い派遣される江戸上り(江戸立ち)に関する史料である。寛政2(1790)年、将軍家斉(1787年4月～1837年4月まで在職)の襲職に際しての使節団の人名が正使から従者まで列記されている。使者達の名前の読みがなや年齢、または旅程中における死亡の記事も書かれている。赤字の添え書き、修正、題字の「寛政二年度」は後の人による書き込みであろう。

This is a document that recorded the dispatch of an envoy to celebrate the succession of the new Shogun of Tokugawa government. It contains the names of the people who came with the envoy for the appointment of Tokugawa Ienari in 1790 from the senior envoy down to the servants. The names of the delegates, how to read the names in Kana, their age, along with any deaths that happened while travelling are recorded. It is considered that the notes written in red, the revised part and the title Kansei Ni Nen (2nd year of Kansei period), may have been added after the completion of the book.
