旧藩中租税徴収ニ関スル事項
琉球王国(また、琉球藩)における租税制度の把握を企図して県庁収税部の川畑徴志が依頼して作成させた未定稿の文書である。起草人は知念間切地頭代の新里善五郎で、租税・王国制度に精通したとみられる間切役人が書いている。王国の租税制度を把握する上で興味深い。本文書は、明治27(1894)年10月14日の日付が見えるが、明治30年前後は地租改正事業が検討された時期なので、それに伴っての依頼調査であったと考えられる。本文書のタイトルには未定稿の文字が見えるが、どのような段階の文書であるのかは不明である。

This is an unfinished document which Kawabata Choshi from Okinawa prefectural office requested to compile in order to get a grasp of the taxing system established in Ryukyu Kingdom (Ryukyu han). The drafter was Shinzato Zengoro, Jitude ( deputy-lord ) of Chinen magiri. The officer of magiri who was acquainted with the system of taxation in Ryukyu Kingdom, wrote the articles. Inferred from the date October 14th 1894, this document was believed to be made probably because of the plan to establish the land tax reform on Okinawa around 1897.
