本史料は、1908～1911年、久米島の状況について検事正大井七郎の質疑に答えるかたちで久米島警察署長池口権四郎が作成したものである。当時の久米島の生活習慣・風俗・教育・文化や刑罰を中心とした旧慣制度が述べられている。1908年と1911年の二度にわたる調査の成果である。
Description
This is a document that Ikeguchi Genshiro, the Chief of the police station in Kume island made in order to answer the questions from Chief public prosecutor, Oi Shichiro about the situation of Kume island . In this book, it is written that lifestyle habit, manners and customs, education, culture and old system of society in Kume island.
