琉球神道記上
本史料は袋中上人が1603～1606年に那覇に滞在したおりの見聞を著したもので、島津侵入事件(1609年)以前の琉球の宗教事情を理解する上での第一級史料である。袋中は『琉球往来』を著した人物で琉球に初めて浄土宗をもたらした。本史料は、袋中庵所蔵の国指定・重要文化財『琉球神道記』(袋中上人自筆稿本、現在は京都国立博物館寄託)の影印本である。上巻(第一巻～第四巻所収)には、主に神学論と琉球の寺院の本尊が述べられている。
This is documents that Japanese priest named Taichu wrote about his experience during his stayt from 1603-06 in Ryukyu. This is very valuable material for a study on religius belief of Ryukyu before the invasion of Satsuma in 1606. He first introduced Buddhism Jodoshu sect. This document is a facsimile edition of "Ryukyu Shinto-ki"which is Taichu's handwritten manuscript and owned by Taichuan temple. "Ryukyu Shinto-ki"is designated by the government as nationally important cultural asset. The first volume of the document( vol.1 - vol.4 ) contains the description of Shitoism and the principal objects of worship stored in temples and shrines in Ryukyu.
