琉球神道記下
本史料は袋中上人が1603～1606年に那覇に滞在したおりの見聞を著したもので、島津侵入事件(1609年)以前の琉球の宗教事情を理解する上での第一級史料である。袋中は『琉球往来』を著した人物で琉球に初めて浄土宗をもたらした。本史料は、袋中庵所蔵の国指定・重要文化財『琉球神道記』(袋中上人自筆稿本、現在は京都国立博物館寄託)の影印本である。下巻(第五巻所収)には、主に琉球の伝統的な神道感がつづられ琉球の神社の情況が述べられている。
This is documents that Japanese priest named Taichu wrote about his experience during his stay from 1603-06 in Ryukyu. This is very valuable material for a study on religious belief of Ryukyu before the invasion of Satsuma in 1606. He first introduced Buddhism Jodoshu sect to Ryukyu. This document is a facsimile edition of "Ryukyu Shinto-ki"which is Taichu's handwritten manuscript and owned by Taichuan temple. "Ryukyu Shinto-ki"is designated by the government as nationally important cultural asset. The second volume (containing document num. 5 ) describes the traditional and general views toward Shintoism and shrines in Ryukyu.
