1951年2月21日に琉球列島米国民政府（USCAR;United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands）が琉球大学の開学記念式典（大学献呈式および学長就任式）を挙行した際に、民政長官ダグラス・マッカーサーが送った祝辞。当日はルイス民政官によって読み上げられた。
Description
Congratulatory statement sent by General Douglas MacArthur, Governor of the Ryukyu Islands , and read by James Lewis, Civil Administrator of the Ryukyu Islands , during ceremony to commemorate the establishment of the University of the Ryukyus (involving ceremonies for dedication of university and for appointment of president) held by the United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands (USCAR) on February 21st, 1951.
