四句三十音からなる琉歌を集めたもの。表紙に「光緒元／琉歌輯／朝公」、表紙裏に「喜納誌」と記されている。1丁オモテから 55丁オモテまでに577首の琉歌を収める。琉歌集は三線にのせて歌うための歌詞を節名ごとに分類配列した節組琉歌集が主流であるが、この歌集には節名は記されておらず、文学として読んで楽しむために編まれたものである。朱書きで作者名が記されている歌があることや、他本に見られない歌も数多く収録しており 、琉歌の資料として貴重である 。

This is a collection of Ryukyuan verses in the 8-8-8-6 syllable structure. The front cover reads Kōchogan/Ryūkashū/Chōkō, and Kinashi (copied by Kina) inside the front cover. It contains 577 Ryukyuan verses from page one to fifty-five. Although in mainstream fushigumi Ryūkashū (Ryukyuan verse anthology) verses are arranged by titles and sung along with the sanshin instrument, this anthology does not contain titles and was compiled for the purpose of reading and enjoying it as literature. Some verses have the author’s name written in red, and many of them are not found in other books making this material a valuable resource of Ryukyuan verses.
