廃藩置県前後の史料か。琉球国王が不在の際に、琉球を守護した薩摩藩士の位階・石高・名前、その他を記録した資料(下書き)か。いつ頃成立したものかについては不明。表題は「薩摩国名之記」となっているが、国名(地名)の記載はない。

Description

Information about the author and year of transcription unknown.
This is possibly a document (draft) created around the time of the abolition of the han (domain) system, and includes the ranks, land value (determined by the kokudaka system), names, and other information of Satsuma Domain clansmen who guarded Ryukyu when the king was absent. It is unknown when the document was completed. Despite the title of the document, there is no record mentioning the name of a country (or place).
