年不明、正月11日付、三司官国吉親方朝章から薩摩藩老中および調所笑左衛門(広郷)宛ての書状。年頭の挨拶とご祝儀を薩摩藩主へ行い、その進上品を点検されるよう要請したもの。

Description

This is a letter from Kuniyoshi Oyakata Chōshō, a sanshikan (top senior official of Ryukyu), to a top-ranking official of Satsuma domain and Shōzaemon (also known as Hirosato) Zusho, dated the 11th of the New Year, year unknown. The content of the letter is a New Year’s greeting and a congratulatory gift to the feudal lord of the domain, requesting that the gift be inspected, and includes Kuniyoshi Oyakata’s kaō (handwritten monogram).
