This is one of the surviving manuscripts of kumiodori (traditional Ryukyuan musical theater). It is a copy of Udun Oroku’s original manuscript (including the inscription indicating that it was written in 1883) made by Chōyū Onga in May 1898. The book describes twenty-three types of kumiodori, and the dialogues are written using both kanji and katakana characters. The dances recorded are: Junchin nu kwan, Gishin monogatari, Kōkō no maki, Gusamaru tiichiuchi, Shūshin kaneiri, Ōkawa tiichiuchi, Mekarushii, Shimai tiichiuchi, Kushi no waka’aji tiichiuchi, Manzai tiichiuchi, Ufugushiku kujiri, Wonna munugurui, Chūshinmigawari no maki, Hanaui nu in, Tsukahena youchi, Hokuzan no wakaaji tekiuchi, Nizanwaboku, Kōjo nunosarashi, Yuchibarē (two types), Temiji nu in, Motobu tēhara, and Yakena ōnushi tekiuchi. Although the order of the table of contents and the text is inconsistent, it is a rare example of “kumiodori” that is not found in other manuscripts.
