本資料は、日本の言語学者・国語学者の金沢庄三郎(1872-1967）が沖縄県を訪れ、方言調査を行った時の記録集である。ノート第4冊。ノートタイトルは「The Luekuan Language S.Kanazawa」と記されている。内容は、「本場の薩摩焼　慶田政太郎と沈壽官」という新聞切抜の貼付頁から始まり、琉球の歌謡や方言、風俗について、金澤自身の手による論考・エッセイ等が収載されている。

Description

This research note of KANAZAWA Shōzaburō (1872-1967), a Japanese linguist and scholar, includes records of his dialects survey during his visit to Okinawa. The fourth note is titled The Luekuan (or Luchuan) Language S.Kanazawa. It begins with a newspaper clipping titled “Honba No Satsumayaki Keida Masatarō To Chin Jukan (Authentic Satsuma Pottery; Masatarō Keida and Chin Jukan),” and includes his studies and essays on Ryukyuan ballads, dialects, and customs.
