解説

東條保著、小倉万次郎蔵版。
本書は明治8(1875)年3月に刊行された。序文に「此編ハ臺灣島古今ノ形勢事情ヲ略記シ」とある通り、台湾の地勢・歴史・民族その他についてまとめた地誌である。下巻では、台湾出兵後の日本と清国間での外交交渉について叙述している。

Description

These series books were written by TOJO Tamotsu and recognized as OGURA Manjiro collector edition issued in March 1875. In the preface, TOJO stated these books as a “summary history on Taiwan domestic situation and international state of affairs.” The books introduce the regional geography, history, and Taiwanese tribes. In Volume 3, it describes the diplomatic negotiations between Japan and Qing dynasty after Japanese invaded Taiwan.
