解説

藤淵臣撰。明治元(1868)年の成立。皇都書林発行。「貞」巻は、全5冊のうちの第3巻に相当する。序文によると、原典は徳川家の秘蔵する「大日本壽海全図」であり、同書中の「望嶽十三州」「関東八州」を除いたものを撰んだと記されている。「第76回　西蝦夷北海岸」(北海道)から「第100回　上総安房東海岸」₍東海道)までを網羅する。奥付あり。

Description

This book was edited by FUJIFUCHI Shin, completed in 1868, and published by publisher Kōto Shorin. This volume (indicated as Tei) is the third book in a series of five. According to the preface, the book’s original source is the Dai Nihon Chūkai Zenzu (Complete Map of Coastal Japan), which was treasured by the House of Tokugawa. This material excludes “Bōgaku jūsanshū” (thirteen provinces of Mount Fuji) and “Kantō hasshū” (eight provinces of Kantō) but covers from (map 76) Ezo (Hokkaido) to (map 100) Tōkaidō region.
