版元／若狭屋與市　画工／歌川重久　1850(嘉永3)年刊。
江戸立ちは徳川将軍や琉球国王が代替りをしたときに行われ、徳川将軍の襲職を慶賀するための使者を慶賀使、琉球国王の襲封を恩謝するための使者を謝恩使といった。江戸立ちのはじまりは、寛永11(1634)年の尚豊王襲封の謝恩使派遣で、計18回行われている。この嘉永3(1850)年の江戸立ちは尚泰王の襲封を謝恩する派遣であり、琉球からの最後の江戸立ち使節であった。

Description

This material describes the 1850 Edo-dachi: Ryukyuan missions to Edo. Whenever there was a change of the new Tokugawa shōgun or the Ryukyu King, the envoy missions were appointed to congratulate on the succession to the shōgun were called Keigashi, on the other hand, the Ryukyu was obliged to send Shaonshi to Edo upon the king was alternated. The Edo-dachi had dispatched eighteen times since 1634, the first Shaonshi sent for King Shō Hō’s enthronement, and the last Shaonshi departed in 1850 for King Shō Tai.
