東韓事略・琉球事略 致 / Brief Account of Korea, Brief Account of Ryūkyū, vol. 8
本書は、桂山彩巌(義樹)著の『東韓事略』『琉球事略』を合冊したもの。甘雨亭（かんうてい）叢書として刊行されている。各書の成立年は不明。本書も弘化2（1845）年－安政３（1856）年の間に成立した。『東韓事略』は朝鮮の歴史・王統・偉人伝・文学・朝鮮通信使ほかについて、『琉球事略』は琉球の歴史・王統・習俗ほかについて記している。 桂山義樹（かつらやま・よしたね：1679－1749）は江戸中期の儒学者で、書物奉行を務め幕府蔵書の校合等を担当した。本書を収録した甘雨亭叢書は、安中藩主の板倉勝秋（いたくら・かつあき）が編集・発行した。江戸時代の写本の中でも名著とされるものを収録したシリーズであるとされている。

This book combines two books, Tōkan jiryaku and Ryūkyū jiryaku, by Katsurayama Yoshitane. It is published as Kan'utei sōsho (series edited by Kan'utei [Itakura Katsuaki]). The year of completion is unknown, but was sometime between 1845 and 1856. Tōkan jiryaku contains a history of Korea, the royal lineage, biographiesof great men, literary work, and Korean diplomatic activities. Ryūkyū jiryaku contains a history of Ryukyu, the royal lineage, customs and more. Katsurayama Yoshitane (1679-1749) was a Confucian scholar in the mid-Edo period, he served as magistrate of books and took charge of collating documents in the Shogunate library. "Kan'utei sōsho," the series of which this book is a part, was edited and issued by Itakura Katsuaki, lord of the Annaka domain. Many masterpieces among the manuscripts of the Edo period were recorded in this series. (Updated on November 4, 2022)
