仕明請地帳 / Deed of land transfer
羽地間切真喜屋村の「かまた大城」が開墾（仕明）した同間切仲尾村内の「うつたにや原」の竿外れ地である下々田10歩を、首里王府の高所が承認した公文書である。この土地はそれ以前の道光6(1826)年6月に、百姓の共同開墾地（模合仕明）として王府の竿入れ（測量）によって認定されていたものであるが、道光40年に「かまた大城」へ譲渡された。同地の生産高は2升と僅かなものであった。開墾した仕明地は一般的に売買可能な私有地となったが、年貢上納は百姓地と同率であった。
沖縄県内の各地に同様の「仕明請地帳」が残されており、農地の開墾や開発を知る上で貴重な史料である。
This document describes that gegeden jū bu (the 33 square meters of infertile and unsurveyable field) in Utsutaniyabaru, Nakao Village, Haneji Magiri, was cultivated by Kamata Ōshiro of Makiya Village, Haneji Magiri, and it was approved by takajo, the office of the Shuri royal government. This particular property was once approved as a moai shiake (a joint cultivation field for peasants) by the king's survey team in 1826. However, it was devolved to Kamata Ōshiro. The production of crops was as little as ni shō (about three kilograms). When shiakechi was cultivated, it became a private owned land which could generally be traded, but the land tax ratio was the same as the peasants'. The similar deeds of land transfer (shiake ukejichō) were found in various parts of Okinawa, and they are regarded as valuable historical records to learn the reclamation and development of farmlands.
