解説

各間切に配置されていた下知役・検者の姓名を一覧にした文書である。沖縄県と内務省の罫紙を使用、1ページ目欄外に「原」印がある。下知役・検者は疲弊した間切の再建のために、18世紀半ば以降、王府が派遣した臨時の役人である。久志間切の下知役として記載されている「伊野波里之子親雲上」は、明治10(1877)年にその地位にあったことが確認でき(『東村史』3巻、36頁)、本史料も明治10年前後の状況を記したものと思われる。

Description

A name list of Gechiyaku and Kenja staffed at each Magiri of Okinawa Prefecture.
It is written on a ruled paper of Okinawa Prefecture and of the Ministry of Home Affairs. There is a stamp of "Hara" in a margin of the 1st page. Gechiyaku and Kenja were temporary officials dispatched after the mid-18th century from Ōfu to reconstruct the finances of each Magiri which
had become impoverished. As there is a description about "Inoha Satonushi Pēchin" who was recorded as Gechiyaku of Kushi Magiri, and it
was in 1877 when he was at that position (please refer to page 36, the 3rd volume of Higashisonshi ), this document is a record of the situation of Okinawa around 1877 evidently.
