解説

琉球処分の琉球側からの記録。1873(明治6)年7月17日付、与那原親方と大冝見里之子親雲上宛ての書類では、琉球国王から大久保利通への年頭の進上物に関する取り決めについて書かれている。同月付けで宰領人の乗船に関する記録もある。1873(明治6)年8月3日付、与那原親方と大冝見親方宛ての書類は租税に関する内容である。琉球側からの琉球処分の記録はとても貴重である。

Description

An account of the Disposition of Ryukyu through the position of Ryukyu. It is dated July 17th, 1873. In the document which was addressed to Yonabaru Uēkata and Ōgimi Satonushi Pēchin, there is an agreement about new year gifts from the King of Ryukyu to Ōkubo Toshimichi. There is also a record of embarkation of a supervisor who was in charge of the goods in the same month. The document addressed to Yonabaru Uēkata and Ōgimi Uēkata, dated August 3rd, 1873 is about taxation. The account of the Disposition of Ryukyu from the view of Ryukyu side is very precious.
