解説

明治12(1879)年9月18日付で沖縄県が提出した上申書について、伊藤博文内務卿が対応を通達した文書の写である。旧三司官らの県政不服従の態度に対し、決して寛大な措置はとらず、厳重に督責せよと指示している。

Description

It is a copy of the unofficial response from Itō Hirobumi (the Minister of the Home Affairs) concerning the written report submitted from the Okinawa Prefecture on September 18th, 1879. Regarding the attitude of ex-Sanshikan (three administrative officials of the Ryukyu Kingdom) who did not obey the administration of Nabeshima, Itō issued an instruction to Nabeshima not to take a generous disposition but to strictly call them to account.
