解説

水本成美が原忠順にあてた書簡。北村の件と贈り物の御礼、明日来訪のお願いなどが記されている。差出の水本は本名が成美(なるみ)、通称が保太郎。原忠順とは原が昌平校にいた頃(1857-1858)に接点を持ったようである。

Description

A letter from Mizumoto Narumi to Hara Tadayuki. Mizumoto sent this letter to Hara to thank him for the issue of Kitamura and a present from Hara, also to ask Hara to come next day. Mizumoto, the addresser, his real first name was Narumi. However, he went by the name of Yasutarō. He met Hara Tadayuki from 1857 through 1858 when Hara went to Shōheikō (a school directly controlled by Edo Bakufu (means government).)
