原忠順宛原峰子書簡 / A letter from Hara Mineko to Hara Tadayuki
原忠順の長女峰子から父への書簡。峰子が東京滞在中なので、峰子と澤子が明治女学校に通っている頃のものか。内容は、病気になった姉妹の近況である。妹澤子の腸カタルは治ったが、今度は眼病にもなっており、学校の休暇中に療養が必要なこと、一昨日、姉妹は牛込の家へ療養のために移ったこと。澤子は牛込の齋藤家へ預けたこと。昨日から峰子も再び腸カタルにかかって療養中であることを記している。年の記載はないが、8月12日の日付が書かれている。この書簡の続きは、8月13日の手紙である。
A letter from Mineko, Hara Tadayuki's eldest daughter to her father. She probably wrote it during Mineko and Sawako went to Meiji Girl's School because Mineko was at Tokyo at that time. She reported their updates, mostly their health problem. Her younger sister, Sawako had recovered from enteritis, but she then suffered from an eye disease, and she needed to recuperate during school holidays. So they removed to a house at Ushigome for the recuperation two days ago. She left Sawako in the care of Saitō family living at Ushigome. From yesterday, Mineko also suffered from enteritis, and she was in recuperation too. The year is not noted, but it is dated August 12th. The sequel to this letter is the letter of August 13th.
