解説

原忠順の長女峰子から父への書簡。峰子が東京滞在中なので、峰子と澤子が明治女学校に通っている頃のものか。内容は、峰子が牛込区の小島氏別宅で体調を崩して療養していること、妹澤子は牛込区の齋藤方へ預けているが本人は大喜びしていること、澤子の月３円の車代は臨時費として出してほしいことなどを書いている。年の記載はないが、8月13日の日付が書かれている。8月12日の手紙の追記である。

Description

A letter from Mineko, Hara Tadayuki's eldest daughter to her father. She probably wrote it during Mineko and Sawako went to Meiji Girl's School because Mineko was at Tokyo at that time. She wrote that she fell ill and was in recuperation at Mr.Kojima's secondary residence in Ushigome. She left her sister Sawako in the care of Saitō family at Ushigome; it made Sawako very happy. Then she also asked her father to pay 3 yen per month as Sawako's transportation fee, because it was unexpected expenses. The year is not noted, but it is dated August 13th. This letter is an addition to the letter of August 12th.
