原忠順宛原峰子書簡 / A letter from Hara Mineko to Hara Tadayuki
長女原峰子から父原忠順へ宛てた手紙。年不明、3月2日の日付がある。内容は、峰子の明治女学校での下宿生活の様子。峰子が新入生のころのものか。一泊外泊を許されたこと、共同生活での風呂の様子、ノミのことなど。同級生はみなカトリック信者で、自分一人が外教(げきょう)で肩身が狭い、下宿しているのはお金のない家庭が多い、など詳細に日々の暮らしを書いている。
A letter from Hara's eldest daughter, Mineko to her father, Hara Tadayuki. The completed year is unknown; it is dated March 2nd. She wrote about her life in a dormitory of Meiji Girl's School. It is probably written when she was a fresher. She reported that she had got a permission to stay overnight away, how she and other student took a bath together, and about fleas. She wrote her daily life in detail as all students other than her are members of a Catholic church, Mineko felt ashamed as she solely was not Catholic, and also, she wrote that the many of students in the dormitory came from a low-income family.
