解説

同治14（1875）年6月。27.2×40.8cm。1件，1枚。石垣島大川村の具志仁屋が所有する宅敷（屋敷），長さ21尋，横（東側）11尋，横（西側）12尋を代米10俵で売却したことを示す証文。売却相手の名はないが，口入（保証人）2名の署名・押印がある。売却の理由として具志仁屋は，上納米未納や借金累積で立ち行かなくなったことを挙げている。

Description

A contract specifying that the house owned by Gushi, Niya in Ookawa Village with the dimensions of 21hiro x 11hiro (east) x 12hiro (west) was sold for 10hyou of rice. The buyer's name could not be found but there were the signitures and personal stamps of two guarantors. Gushi's reason for selling was that he had unpaid taxes and other debts.
