1件。4丁。明治24（1891）年3月10日。八重山島役所。明治24年4月に作成された。与那国島与人の任命に関する答弁書。八重山島役所からの推薦通りに任命されなかったことから問題となっているようである。これによると、以前は石垣四ヶ村で勤めていた与人が順番に与那国島与人になること、今回はこの順番に添わないような人選がなされたこと、命令に反した任命を行っていたこと、などが分かる。

Description

A written inquiry regarding the appointment of yunchu in Yonaguni. The problem appears to be that the candidate recommended by the Yaeyama public office was not selected as expected. Usually, the Yunchus from Four villages in Ishigaki Island was to become Yunchus in Yonaguni in turn. However this time, it was not this particular candidate's turn therefore the appointment was considered to be against the orders of the government.
