天保三壬辰年琉球人参府之節勤方書留 / Record of Ryukyuan officials visiting the shogunate in 1832
天保3（1832）年、琉球からの謝恩使（尚育王即位のお礼）を迎える際に対応した、江戸城西丸の五番方（小姓組）の備忘録である。近藤某の控。手書き本。担当者名簿・謝恩使を迎えるための稽古（予行演習）に関すること・正使、副使担当者への指示、井伊掃部頭（井伊直弼）・松平肥後守（松平容保）ほかにお目見えするまでの手順等が、番頭の溝口備後守から勤め衆へ通達する形式で記されている。現在でいう式典進行のためのマニュアルに相当する書である。
This is a handwritten manual used when the Edo shogunate welcomed shaonshi, the Ryukyuan envoys who arrived in Edo in 1832 to show the shogun their gratitude for the enthronement of King Shō Iku. It is a copy owned by Mr. Kondō, supposedly a Japanese official belonging to the western ring of Edo Castle called nishi no maru, which was the section
in charge of the Ryukyuan envoys. It describes: names of the officials who were in charge of this event; rehearsal; instructions toward the officials who were in charge of the director and vice director of the Ryukyuan envoys; the procedure up to the first meeting with daimyō, feudal lords, such as Ii Naosuke and Matsudaira Katamori; etc.
