解説

題簽『沖縄志 一名 琉球志 一』。明治10（1877）年刊行。『沖縄志』5巻組の第１巻。仲原善忠文庫本に同名本があり、蔵書印が同じ「有恒齋藏版印」となっている。著者の伊地知貞馨は元薩摩藩士。1872年内務省より伝事として派遣され、琉球処分の時期に沖縄に滞在。巻一の内容は「地理志」、首里総図ほかの古地図付きである。

Description

This is the first volume of Okinawa Shi (subtitle: Ryūkyū Shi), published in 1877.
There is a book with the same title in the Collection of Nakahara Zenchū. The author, Ijichi Sadaka was originally an official of the Satsuma, but when he wrote this book, he had a position in the Home Ministry of Japan and was stationed in Ryukyu during the time of Japan's unnexation of Ryukyu. The book describes the geography of Ryukyu and includes some old maps of Shuri and other areas.
