This is a copy of a book which explains briefly about the Okinawa islands. The author is unknown. The contents are the following: geography, history, customs, taxes, products, industries encouragement, education, public health, hospitals, courts, settlers, streets, plants, shrines, Buddhist monks, minerals, etc. On the back cover, there is a book review saying "the date when this book was written is unknown, but apparently it was written in 1887, according to the contents. It is an important source for understanding the situation of that period."
