琉球百韻 / Ryukyuan rhyming verses

This is a privately made anthology of Chinese verses edited by Makino Fumi/Fuku, printed in stone rubbing style, and published in 1808. Makino was a Confucian scholar and also a poet of Chinese poetry from Buzen (present-day Oita Prefecture). He is also known as Kyoya. The book was an edited version of an anthology written by Kushi Anshō, who was the adviser to the vice-director of the 1806 Ryukyuan mission. A name "Yokono," which appears to be Yokono Tomisaburō from Awa (present-day Tokushima Prefecture), can be found in the book. This person was in charge of bookbinding and also wrote the postscript.
