定慧円明国師虚白録 一 / The words of Jōe Enmyō Kokushi Kyohakuroku, vol. 1

The first volume. The title written at the beginning of the text, or the first page of the table of contents is Tokushi Jōe Enmyō Nanka Kokushi Kyohakuroku maki no ichi. This is a collection of the teachings of a Rinzai monk called Nanka Genkō (after death named Jōe Enmyō), who lived between the Azuchi Momoyama to early Edo period. The editor is unknown. This Hawley print is one revised by Hakugan Genkyō in 1751 and published by Ogawa Tazaemon (also known as Ryūshiken) and Ogawa Tsukimaru (also known as Kōbunkaku) in 1753. (Updated on August 21, 2015)
