解説

天保3(1832)年10月21日付の地方文書。1枚。「琉球人御用向」とあり、西嶋源左衛門が地域の村に当てて書いた通達文である。内容は、琉球使節の淀川遡航の際に近郷の村々に課された綱引人足に関するもの。10月24日に琉球使節が淀川遡航をするので、人足などの集合時間、各村からの人足の人数、注意事項などを記す。(2015年10月26日更新)

Description

A sheet of a local document dated October 21, 1832. This is a letter of notice with the word "Ryukyuan affairs," addressed from Nishijima Genzaemon to local villages, regarding the boat-trackiing laborers forcibly collected from villages near the Yodo River when the Ryukyuan envoys sailed on the Yodo River. It provides information regarding the visit of Ryukyuan envoys on October 24, including the gathering time, the number of laborers required from each village, other things to note, etc.(Updated on October 26, 2015)
