Romanaized title

Ryūkyūjin sanpu kankei shokakitsuke shokan

解説

年代不明(1800年代か)、10月9日付の地方文書の書簡。摂州の津江村の中村秀五郎から中之村の西嶋源左衛門宛ての書簡。内容は、西嶋から依頼のあった五組への銀高について、中村からの返事をしたためたもの。「魚御囲向に付魚之村頭御頼申上候」とある。(2015年10月27日更新)

Description

The completion year is unknown (but possibly 1800s). A local official letter, which was dated October 9 and addressed from Nakamura Shūgorō of Tsunoe Village, Sesshū, to Nishijima Genzaemon of Nakanomura Village. This is a response letter to Nishijima's request for the amount of money to gokumi (possibly gonin gumi, which means groups of five households). It also mentions that "a request needed to be made to the fish farm supervisor."(Updated on November 2, 2015)
