御膳本草 (中城本) / Edible plants of Ryukyu [Nakagusuku edition]

The original written by Tokashiki Tsūkan. Completed in 1823. This is a manuscript copy. It describes the characteristics of about 300 different types of food, which were served to the king, and their compatibility. The title can be read as "Gozen Honzō," but a theory proposed by Higashion'na Kanjun suggests that it be read as "Gyozen Honzō." There are several copies with the same title of the book, but this copy with the ownership stamp of "Nakagusuku Udun" (Nakagusuku House) is considered to be the oldest.
