解説

山口水翁（やまぐち・すいおう）画。「琉球国王冊封之図」と「蛮国渡海船旗之図」のふたつの作品がつなぎ合わされている。成立年不明。「琉球国王冊封之図」は、『中山伝信録』より「封舟図」「琉球国王印」「中山王府中秋宴図」などを模写したものである。「蛮国渡海船旗之図」はヨーロッパ船の船旗221種類を描いたものである。(2015年3月31日更新)

Description

Painted by Yamaguchi Suiō. The two works, Ryūkyūkokuō Sakuhō no Zu (Drawings of Sappō Ceremony for Ryukyu King) and Bankoku Tokai Senki no Zu (Drawings of World Ship Ensigns) were combined into one book. The completion date is unknown. Ryūkyūkokuō Sakuhō no Zu consists of the copied extracts taken from multiple drawings in Chūzan Denshinroku, such as Hōshūzu (A Drawing of Chinese Ships), Ryukyukokuō In (A Seal of Ryukyu King), and Chūzan Ōfu Chūshū Zu (A Drawing of Chūzan Royal Ceremony). Bankoku Tokai Senki no Zu illustrates 221 world ensigns of European ships.(Updated on January 6, 2016)
