琉球入学見聞録巻之二 / Firsthand record of Ryukyuans entering school, vol. 2[2]

Edited by Pan Xiang (Jpn., Han Sō), who was a student advisor at Ryukyu Kangaku (a section of Guozijian, Jpn. Kokushikan or the National School of China, where Ryukyuan students studied). Published in 1768. The edition is printed from woodblocks owned by Ranbun Sho'oku. This is the fourth volume out of eight, including the contents of "The Second Volume" (one book in the original is divided into two volumes in this edition). This collection of books entitled Ryūkyū Nyūgaku Kenbunroku is a record of the government-funded Ryukyuan students, called kanshō, who were sent to China. It describes Ryukyuan history, culture, geography, etc. while referring to previous records such as Chūzan Denshinroku.(Updated on January 22, 2016)
